Seattle – Today, Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell released updated data sets for the second quarter of 2024 for the City’s One Seattle Homelessness Action Plan and public-facing dashboard, which show a 17% drop in verified tent count citywide and a 7% decrease in RVs at active encampment sites compared to Q1 data updates.
The Unified Care Team (UCT) completed approximately 4,200 site cleanings in the second quarter, a 13% increase from Q1, and removed nearly 866,000 pounds of debris from public spaces. UCT also focuses on removing public health and safety hazards at encampments, such as propane tanks, and data from the Seattle Fire Department shows that the number of fires at encampments is continuing to decrease with a 35% drop in Q2.

The One Seattle Homelessness Action Plan, first announced in May 2022, provides a framework for continued action centered on both urgency and compassion.
