Seattle – Today, Mayor Bruce Harrell released the following statement after the Families, Education, Preschool, and Promise (FEPP) Levy proposal passed out of the Select Committee:
“This is a positive step forward for my proposal to double access to childcare, expand mental health and student safety services in schools, and create pathways to college and successful careers, especially in the skilled trades. This levy is a transformative investment in Seattle’s youth and families and will open doors to opportunity so kids from every neighborhood in our city can reach their full potential and thrive in the classroom and beyond.
“I’m thankful for the diligence of the City Council and collaboration with Committee Chair Maritza Rivera on this proposal.”
