Seattle-area youth ages 13 to 19 are invited to “Back to the Future”, a Teen Town Hall and Resource Fair on Wednesday, June 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center, 104 17th Ave. S, Seattle, WA 98144.
This FREE event is an evening to shine light on Seattle’s future leaders and for teens to learn how the City of Seattle and community partners are here to support them. It will include a resource and job fair, a panel discussion and Q&A with community leaders and teens, as well as a keynote address by Mayor Bruce Harrell.
“Youth are our city’s future, and it’s our One Seattle obligation to open doors, foster mentorship, and provide new opportunities to help them reach their full potential,” said Mayor Bruce Harrell. “The Back to the Future Town Hall is a chance to connect Seattle’s young people with the robust resources the City offers, from exploring career paths and gaining hands-on experience through the Seattle Youth Employment Program to youth-focused programming and events at the Teen Life Centers. We are excited to bring together city leaders, youth, and community organizations to help nurture a healthy, thriving future for the next generation.”

Back to the Future is an opportunity for young people to connect with City services, learn about career opportunities, celebrate youth programs as well as discuss ways to improve them, and engage with other young people and adults in the community around youth development and career exploration,” said AP Diaz, Superintendent of Seattle Parks and Recreation.
Resource fair participants include City of Seattle departments, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound, Girls on the Run Puget Sound, King County Play Equity Coalition, Seattle CARES, Solar Ink Printing, Seattle Youth Employment Program, Acts on Stage, WA Therapy Fund Foundation, Associated Recreation Council, the Service Board, VITAES, and more.
