One Seattle Homelessness Action Plan Posts Q1 2024 Data Updates

Today, Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell released updated data sets for the first quarter of 2024 for the City’s One Seattle Homelessness Action Plan and public-facing dashboard, which show a 34% drop in verified tent count citywide, as well as a 30% decrease in the number of active sites during the first three months of the year.

Mayor Harrell Seeks to Increase Needed Affordable Housing by Advancing Improved Fort Lawton Redevelopment Plan

Today, Mayor Bruce Harrell announced that the City of Seattle is advancing efforts to develop an improved redevelopment plan for increased affordable housing at Fort Lawton, including rental units, workforce housing and homeownership opportunities, as well as permanent supportive housing for veterans and seniors who have experienced homelessness. The project will also maintain 22 acres of open space, parkland, and wildlife conservation adjacent to Discovery Park.
